REVIEW : ZOEVA Rose Gold Luxury Brush Set

Sawasdee ka~
A week before my birthday, I ordered myself Zoeva Rose Gold Luxury Brush Set and Sun power palette as a little treat for myself. It's the best time to make an excuse to buy new brush set, isn't it?. Zoeva is a makeup and tool brand based in Germany and I order it straight from its website. The package arrived one day before my birthday which is quite impressive and I was really excited to open it. Everything is well-pack in the white box and inside I found another black paper wraps around all products. I also love the fact that you will get a little white card that will tell you who pack and check the quality of your items. In case something is wrong with your order (which I don't expect that) you know who to contact/complain. Today I will review the brush set first and will leave the blusher palette for next week post.

The brush set comes with classy leather clutch that has a little inside pocket, brown cloth bag and 8 different brushes (5 for face and 3 for eyes). All brushes look lovely, well-design and really good value for money. They contain with a mix of high quality natural hair* and synthetic bristles. Let's see which brushes will you get from this set:

106 / Powder: Apply any kind of powder product and to fix the makeup.
102 / Silk Finish: Apply and blend foundation, powder and mineral makeup products.
110 / Face Shape: For contouring and blending.
127 / Luxe Sheer Cheek*: A nice blush brush. I normally use it for highlight above cheek bone but it's also great for applying blush around cheek bone.
142 / Concealer Buffer: Apply concealer products evenly and super easy around the eyes and every small corner of your face.
227 / Luxe Soft Definer*: Softly blend and smooth eyeshadow
231 / Luxe Petit Crease*: Accentuating and blending in the crease
317 / Wing Liner: Detailed eyeliner strokes and a perfect wing. I actually use it for powdering my eyebrows and/or draw a sharp line around waterline.
Overall, the brushes are so soft like a baby bum and easy to clean. You can't really go wrong with this set. Apart from Real Techniques brushes I never thought I could find an alternative make up brush brand with such an affordable price but Zoeva does an amazing job! It costs £55 on Zoeva’s site plus £7.50 flat rate shipping cost which mean each brush cost less than £10! One of other good things is the brushes are all available individually too. I secretly wish that Real Techniques would sell brushes separately as well.

Have you ever heard about Zoeva

OOTD : Gimme Kisses @ Blackpool

Sawasdee ka~
On the weekend after my birthday, my boyfriend and I went to Blackpool to celebrate our birthdays together. Why I say our birthdays? Because I was born on the 11th and my boyfriend was born on the 16th September. So the weekend between our birthdays is perfect. It was a lovely day that is not too cold and also not too hot (a bit windy though you can see it from my hair lol).

It was my first time in Blackpool. This city is different from other cities I have ever visited. It's full of amusements and casinos along the street from north to south beach. Please don't ask how much we spent lol. As we arrived in the afternoon and quite hungry we went for fish&chips. A typical meal that I believe everybody must have when visit beach cities. After filled up with food we went down to Blackpool Pleasure Beach themepark. The ticket for entry is £29.99 each but because we arrived about 3pm which is quite late for theme park so we bought a VIP speedy pass that help us skip a long queue too. So we can manage to play almost all the big rides. I highly recommend The Big one, Infusion, Wallace&Gromit's thrill o-matic and finish off with Valhalla (because you will get all wet and soak).

For outfit of the day, I actually didn't plan to go theme park so it doesn't look quite practical for all the big rides but luckily I was wearing support shorts so it is not actually a problem for me.

SWATCHES & REVIEW : My Lipstick Collection [Liquid Lipstick]

Sawasdee ka~
Here it comes to the last post of my lipstick collection series. I really enjoy writing this series and hope my lovey readers enjoy it as well.

Let's start off with luxury brand like Chanel, I got 2 different formulas Rouge Allure Extrait  De Gloss in 52 Genie. This is a sheer peachy colour the texture is not overly sticky and quite jelly-like and it might settling into lip line if you have a very dry lips. Levres Scintillantes Glossimer in 169 Jalousie,  a very bright raspberry shade that have good colour pay off with gorgeous micro-glitters and a high-shine glow. Don't be put off with the glitter because on the lips they are non-gritty and shimmer becomes less prominent.

Nars Larger Than Life in Place Vendome another raspberry pink that look similar to Chanel in 169 Jalousie but without glitter. It comes with a short bristle brush that I think it gives a better precision around the lips. The colour is quite opaque with a glassy shine to the lips.

MAC Prolongwear Lipglass in Full speed ahead a pretty candy pink colour. I love the colour but to be honest not the formula. It's opaque (which is good) but it's also very sticky. I can say that this lipglass last longer than normal lipgloss but I don't really feel comfortable when I wear it. I remember wearing it in a windy day and at the end my hair end up around my lips >__<. Move on the the second MAC lipgloss I own Cremesheen Glass in Star Quality a bright corally orange with pink undertone. Opposite to the prolong wear lipglass this formula is light yet creamy and non-sticky. with semi-opaque colour coverage.

Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss in Belladonna OMG I love this lipgloss. It's so intense high-pigmented with a creamy finish but not look too glossy and cover your lips really well without bleeding. It’s a vibrant, deep fuchsia pink with blue undertone. Oh and it has a lovely taste and smell too. Matte lip liquid in Forbidden a lovely mauve pink this colour has been discontinued from the website but I'm not really sure whether it sill sells in store. This is a new liquid lipstick formula from Illamasqua that just launch this summer. It's a high-pigmented liquid lipstick that will dry matte within a minute after apply on the lips. It applies smooth and even but might experience some stickiness once it dries matte. One more trick about using this formula is you have to apply thin layer and wait for it to dry completely (no pressing lips too) otherwise  it will go flaky and patchy. If one layer is not give you enough bold-ness you can double coat after the first layer is completely dry. This is the longest lasting liquid lipstick I have ever own, no joke!

Topshop Lip Cream in Pout Oh I fell in love ❤︎ You might notice how much I like Topshop lips product in the past few posts and no surprise I love this lip cream too! The formula is amazing! Vibrant orange colour that really opaque good colour pay off and goes on smoothly.  It gives a feeling like satin lipstick and doesn't look glossy.

Rimmel London Apocalips lip lacquer in Nova girly pink and Eclipse deep berry red. The product is opaque and creamy that actually dries almost matte after a few hours but a little top up would definitely help. The staying power is fantastic especially with Eclipse.

L'oreal Glam matte in 513 Zip it rouge again with raspberry pink and 510 Cherry Crop an electric bright pink. Eventhough the packaging isn't quite pleasant but the lipstick formula is actually lovely. I find it very hydrating on the lips and doesn't seem to dry completely. It's really comfy to wear with light but creamy texture. This is another long lasting liquid lipstick

Sleek Matte me in Petal mauve nudey pink and Brink Pink bright fuchsia pink. I wanted to love this product but unfortunately it isn't for me.  I find that this formula is almost like Illamasqua matte lip liquid. It's thin creamy liquid that will dry matte within a minute but it's hard to apply evenly and also goes patchy and clumpy. Overall it makes my lips look awful :(

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in Ultimate Orchid. Another disappointed product and smell terrible. I think the finish is similar to Sleek Matte me. It's dry thin within a minute and and sets on your lips. Your lips then feeling dry and again look awful!

Which one is you favourite?

OOTD : Kiss Me Birthday @ Kendells Bistro Leeds

Sawasdee ka~

Last Thursday was my birthday (11th September). I suppose to write this post since last week but I was soooooo busy with work and celebration so I have to delay the post a little bit. I just don't want to rush myself and make a junk post. Writing a blog is all about quality, isn't it?

The outfit and make up was inspired by Lorde, a Newzealand singer. It's all about curly hair and dark lipstick. Some people afraid to wear dark lipstick but trust me it doesn't look that scary. I can proof it with this outfit. The look is kind of gothic+sweet style with that plummy colour and floral headband. You know what? This dress actually wasn't the dress I planned to wear at the beginning. I was planning to wear a red sophisticate silky dress but after I know where my boyfriend was going to take me for dinner I suddenly change my mind. I wanted to wear something more casual but still look special and then I spotted this dress in my wardrobe. I can't believe I'm totally forget about this dress. It's a cotton dress that make thing more casual but look at those pattern and colour! It's gorgeous, right?

This time my boyfriend and I went to Kendells Bistro. A casual informal place to dine within a French bistro atmosphere. Surprisingly I have never known about this restaurant before even I have been living in Leeds for 5 years! It's soon become my most favourite restaurant. Thanks to my boyfriend to discover this lovely place. I love everything about it. The special thing about this restaurant is there no printed menu but 3 big blackboard menus hanging on the wall because menu changes daily depending on fresh seasonal ingredients. We even got 2 glasses of champaign and a dish of sweets with hand written "Bon Anniversaire" on the dish as a gift for my birthday. How lovely is that? I can't recommend more of this place. If you have a chance to visit Leeds you should give it a go. With a 3-courses meal for 2 people it's sum up at around £60 which is not that bad for a fantastic food quality.

Loup de mer, Calamri, Duck confit and Macaron
Dress : Jack Wills
Necklace : Swarovski
Lippy bag : H&M
Floral headband : Primark
Lipstick : Topshop in "Inhibition"
Location: Aspect 14 and Kendells Bistro

SWATCHES & REVIEW : My Lipstick Collection [Chubby stick and Lip Crayon]

Sawasdee ka~
I feel like chubby balmy lipstick has been something that on trend among beauty gurus/bloggers for awhile. To be honest, I'm not really into it at the beginning. My first ever chubby balm I bought are Pixi tinted brilliance balms (bought on 3 for 2 offer few years ago). And it's not really hit a button for me until around the beginning of this year I found a few good brands that I love and start growing my collection quite a bit.

Start of with Topshop my favourite mid-end make up brands. I did my Topshop lipstick collection few weeks ago if you have not yet seen it you can click here. Lip crayon Secret Party, a bright  raspberry pink with loads of glitter that will be really pretty for a night out and makes your lips pop. The formula is quite sheer, glossy but buildable. Lip bullet there are 2 different finishes: matte and creamy. I don't know when they are called lip bullet it's look just like other chubby lipstick to me I think MAC lipstick look more like bullet to me. Twist up style packaging means you don't waste product and there is no need for a sharpener. Anyway for matte version I got it in Call me queen bee (love that name!) a purple-ly  lilac colour that glide on like satin finish and it's not drying. For creamy version I got it in Back in the game a bright fuchsia pink that goes on smoothly like a dream and highly pigmented. Lip-stick Hedonist a bright orange with matte finish I think this formula is pretty similar to Topshop matte lip bullet but it has a little higher pigmentation.

Nars I own 2 different velvet finishes: matte and gloss. For matte finish, it glides on really well without the irritating dryness. But if you have dry, chapped lips, it will look more obvious. I have here with me in Dolce vita a mauve red and Sex machine a dusty rose. I found that the pigment is vary from colour to colour in my opinion I think Sex machine have a better colour pay off. For gloss finish it make me feel like I use a nice liquid lip gloss that doesn't make my lips feel sticky I got one in shade Baroque a pretty red berry shade. The only thing about lip pencil that I don't like, is that you have to sharpen them in order to get more product once it's worn down. It kind of put me off a bit when I think about sharpen them. I'm such a lazy bum haha.

Pixi tinted brilliance balm. Craving Cora an orange corally shade and Baby bare gentle light pinky. They are the first ever chubby sticks I bought.  They go on like a lip balm with a light tinted on my lips and a slight minty taste. The staying power is not so great and the packaging is annoying. Although it's cute rubbery pencil but the cap is too loose.  I definitely won't buy it again, especially since the price wasn't worth the outcome.

No.7 Lip crayon in Dancing a light strawberry pink. I got this lip crayon from 3 for 2 offer (again). I actually didn't expect much from it. I bought it because I don't know what else I should buy :/ Surprisingly, it's actually a good chubby stick. If you think Nars Velvet Gloss Lip Pencils are too expensive, this lip crayons can be an alternative product. Apart from buttery feeling on your lips when you apply N0.7 lip crayon I think the other outcomes are pretty similar. Oh it also comes with sharpener lids too.

Revlon ColorBurst Crayon Matte Balm. I first spotted these new formula around the beginning of this year. Out of 10 shades I picked 3 that I think they might suit me: Elusive a blue toned nudey pink, Unapologetic a super pinky red and Audacious a bright orange shade. They have a creamy texture with a satin finish and again with light peppermint scent. I don't know why a lots of chubby balms have minty taste. Can anyone explain to me? I'm really curious >__< I didn't find them particularly drying on the lips but some of the colours might accentuate the lines on your lips. The colour pay off is really good, opaque in one swipe.

If you want to see a full review for any lipstick please do not hesitate to let me know :)

Which one is you favourite? Any recommendation which colour I should get?

SWATCHES & REVIEW : My Lipstick Collection [Luxury]

Sawasdee ka~

First of all I have to say sorry for late post in my lipstick collection series. Last week was a busy week for me I only have little time to write my blog. Anyway here we go another My lipstick collection post. Can't believe I have been doing this series for more than a month. The feedback is good so far I'm really thank you for all your support. Today, will be time for luxury lipstick brand.

Chanel I own 2 lipsticks from this brand. The first one is Rouge Allure luminous intense in 05 Desirable a shimmery mauve pink. Even though it has shimmer but it's very subtle on the lips. The best thing I love about luxury brand is the packaging innovation. I can see that they put a lot of time to create each make up packaging. Like this Rouge Allure, to avoid a lid comes off the bullet when you put lipstick in a bag you have to press the bottom of the tube in order to remove a lid. The second one is Rough Coco in 56 Teheran a frost corally orange colour. Although it's pretty colour and it's much subtler than Mac Frost but I'm quite disappointed as it's tend to sit between lines on my lips. I don't find them hydrating so my opinion I think it is most suitable for those with relatively healthy lips.

Burberry lip cover in Delicate rose 22 and Devon Sunset 28, both are nude colour from the name I think you can guess which colour is more of a pinkie nude and which colour is more of a corally nude. This formula applies really nicely, light-weight and very opaquely which no patchiness feeling. And the coolest thing I discover about the packaging is the magnetic lid that will flip itself around when you close the lid to ensure that it's in the right spot. I love twisting it around and listen to that clicking noise hehehe I'm a maddy girl I know. Aside from what I love about this formula I also have a little complain on its smell and taste. I think it smells like old-fashion lipstick and taste terrible.

Yves Saint Laurent. I'm sure everyone can recognise it from that golden luxe bullet. Amazing packaging design. After being obsess with MAC, Illamasqua and Topshop for awhile I just have a chance to get hold of YSL lipstick just around the beginning of this year! However this brand soon become my favourite high-end brand. Thanks to my sister that gave me her YSL lipstick to me. It's Rouge Pur Couture 09 Rose Stiletto, a fine shimmery deep plum colour with a soft silky finish lipstick that can last whole day. Provides medium to full coverage and doesn't accentuate flakes, applies evenly and precisely. Few months ago I was desperately want new lipstick in my life and luckily I found a voucher code from Feelunique.com. It was a £10 off when spend over £25 deal so I ordered myself Rough Volupte 13 Peach Passion. This colour is soooo pretty and really pigmented. The smell is also lovely like peachy fruity smell. It's light yet rich creamy finish surprisingly it last longer than many other creamy lipsticks but the downside is that the formula tend to setting into the lines and dry spot so it might need a bit of lipbalm underneath. Baby doll kiss & blush 4 Orange Fougueux that sleek packaging that make me think of nail polish caught my eyes the day it's released. The formula is velvety creamy that will dry matte but not give any uncomfortable finish. I found that it's not as pigmented as I thought but it's buildable.
Left to right : Chanel Desirable, Chanel Teheran, Burberry Delicate rose, Burberry Devon sunset, YSL Peach passion, YSL Rose stiletto, YSL Orange Fougueux, Nars Sexual healing, Nars Roman holiday, Nars Damage and Shu uemura PK 343
Nars although I like bold matte lipstick but I'm not sure why for Nars lipstick I always go for Sheer lipstick. I got 3 colours in total. Sexual healing a shimmering pink blossom, Roman Holiday a pastel pink and Damage a mauve red. The formula is so smooth that actually feel like tint lipbalm that is buildable for more coverage and slightly glossy.  A little comment on Sexual healing, it will look a bit brown-ish in a night time. I think this colour doesn't really suit me on it own but it's really good if I mix with some brighter colour.

Shu Uemura I only bought one lipstick from this brand and the lipstick I'm going to show you today is sadly had been discontinued. It's Rouge Unlimited PK343 a babypink with blue undertone. In term of packaging if I have to be honest I don't really like it, it made with thick clear plastic that although doesn't look cheap bit for that price I think I can get better. The formula is feel like another tint lip balm that start off sheer but it's buildable with sheen finish.

Which one is you favourite? Any recommendation which colour I should get?

OOTD : I was born to be a city girl @Jamie's Italian Leeds

Sawasdee ka~
Just before August say goodbye I realised that I haven't use my £10 voucher from Jamie's Italian yet. So my boyfriend and I decided to give a visit before the voucher expire. I don't have to say anything much about Jamie Oliver right? I'm pretty sure most of you know him either from book, a telly or restaurant name. I love the restaurant I just feel like they provide healthy and freshly made food.

As we were really starving we ordered 3 big full courses. Start with ultimate sharing platter for starter (it isn't cheap though £10.50 per person). It comes in a big long wooden tray as you can see in a picture below. Impressive! I would really recommend it for someone who really hungry otherwise it might be too much for a starter. My main course is a sea-bass with super food salad, another great dish that I want to recommend. Special salad that I'm not normally see the ingredients in any other restaurants. Although after 2 courses I felt pretty full but my tummy asked for more pudding so I didn't want to disappoint it lol. Raspberry and chocolate rippled pavlova is the dessert that I have to order every time I go there. And this time too ^___^ hmmm yummy.

After charge my life energy with a massive meal, it's time for photoshoot. My boyfriend asked that are you sure you want to take a photo when your belly smile to everybody. Well you guys are not gonna see my big belly here because I pulled it in hahahaha (ooops that's suppose to be secret). Anyway, I'm not sure whether I tell you before that I come from Bangkok, the city of life and fashion. Yeah I was born to be a city girl so when I say simple look it might not be simple for somebody. Yes and the look today is a simple one for me a plain black cropped top and red skirt that I mix and match with few cool accessories and tah dah the total look doesn't look bland anymore. Can't believe that my vintage bracelet is going really well with trendy necklace.
