SWATCHES&REVIEW : ZOEVA The Power Palette

Sawasdee ka~

Sorry guys for disappearing from the blogsphere for awhile. I was working hard in the laboratory so I didn't really have time to write a post. Also, I'm currently on my holiday in Thailand so I might not write a post that often during I'm here but I promise I will get back on track when I get back to UK.

On my Zoeva rose gold brush set post I said I will do swatches and review on blush palette that I bought the same time as the brush set. This palette is called The Power Palette. One whole palette with 10 blushes only costs around £15!

Lets start off with my thought on packaging. The packaging is simple yet sleek.  It is made from rather light feeling black thin plastic. The only suggestion from me to make this palette look better is a mirror inside the lid. There is a waste of space around the lid that I think would fit mirror really well.

The blush itself provides good enough pigment and they are easy to blend and build up. Sadly Zoeva didn't give these blushers individual names. For me, I like everything to be named because it feels more luxe. However, I will just number them from left to right as seen in the palette. Inside the palette there are 10 powder blushers. This palette is an ideal for those of you who want to brighten up your face in this grumpy-rainy weather with the summery blushers and bronzers. The colours are ranging from pinks to peaches to browns. There is only one true matte (no.3). Most of the blushers contains shimmer but not too glittery that will look really pretty on your face.

Overall, I think this palette is pretty much hit and miss. For me some shades look horrible on my face  but some were pretty good. I normally use no.1 for highlighter and no.3 for contour. The pigment is actually vary from colour to colour. No.5 has the weakest shade as you can see on my arm I had to really swatch it a few times to get a good colour payoff.

Here is the list of each shade on the palette:

No 1.   neutral/light brown shimmer
No 2.   bronze shimmer
No 3.   neutral medium brown matte
No 4.   warm brown
No 5.   peach / orange (bit like NARS Orgasm)
No 6.   warm coral red
No 7.   salmon orange
No 8.   golden champaign
No 9.   warm orang
No 10. deep red

No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
No. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
Have you ever heard about Zoeva?

OOTD : Sea Sand and Sun @ Blackpool

Sawasdee ka~
Last week on OOTD post I wrote about weekend away in Blackpool. Today post is still out and about around Blackpool. My boyfriend and I went there for 2 days and a night. On our second day we went to Sandcastle water park. It meant to be the biggest water park in EU. It's an indoor water part with lots of slides, attraction and spa. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures in there as I had too much fun and totally forgot about camera. If you are interested you can check the detail on its website here. Apart from the waterpark if you have time Illuminasia, the world largest indoor illumination, is another place that worth a visit.

A long walk along the beach when the water tide out is a good idea for chillax Sunday. And to avoid windy-messy hair I decided to updo my hair and wore statement earring to make more detail to the look. I think a good lacey dress is a good outfit idea for going to beach. To contrast all the black-ness I also paired it with outstanding red lippy bag ❤︎

At Illuminasia
Black lace dress : Goldie London
Lippy bag : H&M
Shoes : Primark
Earring : Unknown
Lipstick : YSL in "Peach Passion"
Location: Blackpool Beach

What do you think about my outfit, yayy or nayy?
