Be My Lush Valentine : Valentine's Day Collection 2015

Sawasdee ka~
Can you believe that Valentine's day is approaching in 2 weeks, are you ready for it? Anyway, when I realise that Lush has released their new Valentine's day collection, apparently it was released on the 9th of January, I was sooooo excited. Everything is so lovely. So I end up buying almost every single thing in the range. Physically swooned~

To no surprise as a "love theme" there will be lots of hearts feature in the products. This year there are some new additions to the Valentine's day range and a couple of old favourites from last year (Prince Charming Shower Gel and Love Locket Bath Bomb). At the moment, I'm still putting everything in the shelf and wait for special occasion to use it. However, I think it might be great idea to share my initial thoughts about them.
Bubble Bar
- Heart Throb  £3.65 A very bright red 'sandwich' style that separated with gold glitter lining and breaks easily into 2 halves. I honestly couldn't explain the exact smell. It smells florally but clean. Heart throb also contains organic shea butter and corn flour to keep your skin soft.

- Lonely heart £3.50 A glimmer of golden lustre that cover red heart. I love the smell. Really nice refreshing citrusy scent.

- Unicorn Horn £3.25 The prettiest bubble bar I have ever seen. Thumb up for Lush. I love everything about it. A lovely rainbow colour with sparkling lustre and little candy stars. I guess you could technically eat these star but I don't think it will taste nice? Let me know if you have already tasted it :) It smells very lavender-y and I love it. It's amazing!

Bath Bomb
Floating Flower £3.50 It has extremely strong jasmine scent. Although I love jasmine but I think it might be a bit too strong for me, but who know I might like it when I put it in my bath. It meant to turn your bath a beautiful colour. To mention, this bath bomb is super powdery so I don't recommend snorting them lol

- Love Locket £6.95 I did a review on this last year and I'm not really a big fan of this. I'm actually not suppose to repurchase it again. However I have no idea how can it get in my shopping basket lol. It's really big bath bomb so it meant to use for multiple times. When you crack open your Locket you will also find a smaller heart-shaped bath bomb hidden within. You can read my full review here

❤ Shower gel
- Prince Charming £9.50 It came out last year for the first time but I didn't get my hand on it. So this year I decided to give it a try. "The fragrance is made using a beautiful blend of grapefruit , sandalwood and geranium oils". That's what it said on the website but for me I have no idea how grapefruit smell like so to make it easier to explain I think this shower gel actually smells like Jaffa cakes.

 ❤ Soap
- Cupid’s Love £4.25 Uplifting, fruity smell with passion fruit juice and soya yoghurt. It's actually another version of Neon Love from Valentine's day collection last year but a little bit slippy and softer. The soap should have white heart in the middle but because I ask the guy in shop to cut it in half for me to make it easier to use.

Each bath bomb and bubble bar can use multiple times. It's depend on how generous you are :) So there we go! All in all I adore this collection and would recommend you to go to the shop and have little sniff before you decide to buy any of the products

Hello it's Valentine Series #5 : Mini review on Lush Valentine's day collection

Sawasdee ka~

Happy Valentine's day to all lovely followers and all strangers :) For my last but not least post of the Vday series I decided to do a mini review on Lush Valentine's collection. There are few valentine products that Lush released at the end of last month. Today I will review 2 of the products in this collection. I hope you guys enjoy all the posts in this series. And I'm sure I will make next one very soon!!

Truth be told I'm not actually doing anything special today. I just went to Yo sushi in the afternoon and had lunch with my boyfriend. Actually I think everyday is valentine's day for us anyway and we always surprise each other in odd day so to be honest today is just an ordinary day for me. The picture above actually have nothing related to the topic today but I just want to show you guys my new keychains that I bought a while ago from night market in Taiwan but just realised that I have never used them. So on last Monday I gave one to my boyfriend and another one keep for myself. They are adorable ^__^

Anyway, as my boyfriend will be at work until 4am tomorrow so I will have to spend the night alone. I picked up 2 Lush products I bought earlier this week and used it tonight.
Close to you massage bar (left) and Love locket bath ballistic (right)
"The Love Locket was inspired by the kind of heart-shaped locket you wear as a necklace, perhaps with a secret photograph of a loved one inside. In the same way, you have to unlock (crack open) this Love Locket bath bomb to reveal the secrets hidden within…"

For the first product : Love locket. 80% of the reason I bought it was a giant heart shaped love locket, that rattles when you shake and the rest goes to its scent. This bath bomb looks really pretty with a scent of sweet floral. On the website it say that if you break in to half you will see a smaller heart bath bomb hidden inside, that's filled with small heart paper confetti. For a lazy girl like me I just throw a whole locket into my bath so I'm not sure whether mine one has a hidden heart bath bomb or not?!. As you can see in the picture it's a huge bath bomb comparing with my hand so for someone that doesn't like to spend 6.95£ in one bath you can break it and use up to 3 times. For me I'm glad that I use a whole thing in my opinion the scent is pretty weak compare to other Lush bath bombs.
Once it hits the water, the shimmer quickly disperses and reveal small heart pink and white paper confetti. It actually fizzed away really quick and turned my bath water a nice shimmering romantic pink water.
As I want to enjoy my time in bath and want to spend time in there longer than normal I also added a tiny bit of the comforter (a bubble bar) to make a blanket of fruity foam and put this 2 duckies in there with me.
Back to the review, at the centre of the bath bomb were lots of small heart pink and white paper confetti and shiny red hearts made from agar which floated at the surface of the water. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to enjoy these shiny red hearts they melted too quick. Although it claims that both will dissolve entirely, but after I drained water I do notice that there are some pink and white heart paper left in a bath which is pretty disappointed. In term of benefits to my skin after this bath I can't really give any comment because I mix this bath bomb with other product...Sorry

Overall, I like the idea of hearts that made from agar but the whole thing is pretty pricey. If next year Lush make this Locket heart again I probably will not repurchase it. It is a
 miss for me I'm afraid...

Right going to the next review : Close to you massage bar. This massage bar remind me of Snow fairy from last Christmas. The scent is pretty similar with a hint of vanilla sweet but subtle...hummm yummy.
The best think is that the smell stay for hours so it's kind of like having moisturiser and solid perfume in the same time. It melts instantly as soon as it contact with my skin which makes it a perfect massage bar! In another meaning you have to keep it in cool and dry container which is not a problem to me. I have a lots of empty plastic and aluminium boxes.

For the first few second I glided it over my skin, it just like putting dry oil but after that it will slowly absorb to the skin and leave my skin feeling baby soft

If you are a Snow fairy fan, then I would definitely recommend getting this while it last. I definitely repurchase it :)

RRP: Love locket £6.95, Close to you £5.50
Have you tried any of Lush valentine's day collection? What do you think?

Hello it's Valentine Series #4 : Sweet or Sassy

Sawasdee ka~
This is the first time I decided to show you guy my fashion styles and outfits. Hope you like it and give me some feedback :)

It's just few days to go before Valentine's day. So today I have 2 different styles to pick and choose for this February 14

For the first Vday outfit, I'm going for a sassy look. I mix and match with red and black colour. I choose black because this colour can make you look sassy, sexy and mystery in the same time. I made a messy bun to show off the moustache earring. It's really unique and sophisticate in the same time. The black top it plain at the front but look at the back...a huge bow to make this look more attractive. With my red lipstick and skirt, you can never go wrong with red things on Vday, right?

Top : ASOS
Skirt : American Apparel
Watch, earring, ring and bag : I actually bought them from Thai street stores (not sure whether you can find any of them in UK)
Shoes : My sister give to me because they are too big and too high for her. She said they are made to order shoes.
My next outfit is totally different from the first one. This one I'm going for a sweet girly look. I pick a pink purplish dress and combine with a flower headband. My curly hair make this look cuter and more feminine. As I'm a petite girl high heels or wedges are essential on a date.

Dress, headband, rings and shoes : I got them from Thai street stores.
Watch : CK
Bag : Louis Vuitton

What are you going to wear this Vday? Let me know in the comment. You can even put a link below I'm sure I will check it out.

Hello it's Valentine Series #3 : DIY Card

Sawasdee ka~

My third post on "Hello it's Valentine Series" will be about DIY Card. This year card I got an inspiration from flowers and I combined with heart shape...thing you can't ignore on Valentine's day. I tried to make it simple but unique and tah-dahhhh, this is what my card look like :)

What you will need:
❤ Compasses
❤ Pen and Pencils
❤ Scissors
❤ Exacto knife
❤ 6 mini craft brads
❤ Double-sided tape or glue
❤ Paper cutting board
❤ Coloured papers

How to make it
1. Use compasses to draw a circle shape at the back of gold glitter paper (around 6" in diameter)
2. Use an exacto knife, cut out the circle shape you draw. I don't use scissors to cut this one because the paper is quite thick and I think the knife make a sharper edge

 3.  Use the sharp end of compasses to pierce 6 holes around the edge of glitter paper. You can also use paper piercer

4. Cut out 2 heart sizes that are about 3" and 2" tall. Use them as templates to cut out 12 additional hearts. 6 with with thick paper and another 6 with red thick paper

5. Pierce a hole above the bottom edge of heart shape paper.

 6. Put craft brads through a hole and hold them together with circle gold glitter paper. Then split the legs of craft brad at the back of glitter paper
7. Repeat it until you have 6 hearts on the card

8. Write down "Valentine" in a bold font on white paper, cut and then glue them in the middle of glitter paper
9. Write down secret letters or message on each of white heart. I also add my cheeky lip stamp on one of the hearts

10. Cut out another round circle (same size as gold glitter one) then stick it with glue or double-sided tape at the back of gold glitter paper to hide the mess. Then you can write down your message to your loved one :)

Hope you like my card idea.
Do you guys make your own Valentine card this year? Please share the idea

I usually make molded chocolate, cupcake or cookies on Valentine's day. Today I'm going to post my favourite cookies recipe that is really easy to make and yummy. I won't make them this year though because I'm not in my flat (in Japan now). So I can't show you guys my cookies decoration pictures.
