SWATCHES & REVIEW : Essie For Summer 2014

Sawasdee ka~
About beginning of the month while I was wandering around Boots, I spotted  a white box with 3 mini nail polish bottles on Essie shelf and get drawn to them. Essie brought out 3 collection for this summer but I like this one the most. For the whole set, it's called Summer 2014 Collection. Okay, maybe not the whole set but just these 3 colours that come in a box (there are 2 more colours in the collection). The colours are just sooooooo pretty ^____^ All of the polishes are opaque so 2 coats is actually enough to give a nice pigmented finish. They glide on really well, smooth and no streak.

Roarrrrange the name somehow made me think about Sullivan from Monster, Inc. Anyway, it is a bright orange shade. It is the colour for Summer 2014!  It’s a creamy base but on the first coat it appears sheer, then by the 2nd coat I was able to achieve a nice pigmented colour

Haute In The Heat is a raspberry red. Although it's not the most unique shade but really pretty on!

Ruffles & Feathers is an emerald green my favourite out of 3. This polish totally caught my eye when I saw on the display. It gives a feeling of the tropics all over it.
RRP £12.99 you can buy it here
Have you bought any new nail polish this summer?

Nails Art : Owl hoo hoo hoo #1

Sawasdee ka~

Here come another easy nails art that you can do by yourself. Few weeks ago I stumbled upon one of nails art ideas that using nails art water decal transfer stickers. I thought it is a good idea so I went through Ebay and found these cute owl stickers. One pack contains 20 nail decals in a selection of size.
Step 1: The base for these nails was Essie - Master plan (3 for 2 from Boots). I painted 2 layers and allow to thoroughly dry before applying decals.
Step 2: Cut out the decal from the strip and trim to size
Step 3: Leave the decal to soak in a bowl of water for 20-30 seconds, then remove from water
Step 4: Slide the backing away from the decal and place on the nail. Carefully move it around and smooth it down

Step 5: Use a tissue to dab off any excess water and allow to dry.
Step 6: Use Barry M - Nail arts pen in white draw hearts on middle fingers and "love" on pinky fingers
Step 7: Paint a clear layer of topcoat over the nail to seal in the decal.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments :)

Easy Christmas Nails Idea

Sawasdee ka~

Today I have an easy nails idea to show you guys. It's very easy and you can do it by yourself. Personally I don't like to go to beauty salon for manicure so I always paints my nails by myself and every time when I want to do a bit of nails art I need to make sure that it's easy and I can do it by both of my hands.
Talk about Christmas I like to think about things in red&white with glitters so my inspiration start from there. There are plenty of ideas that came in to my mind and then my thought bubble popped up...."candy stick" I had few week ago.
Step 1: The base for these nails was Orly - Star Spangled (I got this as a free gift from Cosmo magazine December). I painted 2 layers and waited until it dry
Step 2: Use a dotting tool and Barry M textured nail effect - Lady draw heart at the corner of my nails
Step 3: Paint small dots on ring finger nail
Step 4:Use a larger dotting tool paint stripe on thumb nail
Step 5: Finish off with a topcoat to seal in my design, and I'm done!

What do you think? Let me know in the comments :)
