OOTD : Trip to Heraklion

Yassou lovely readers,
If you follow my blog for awhile you might feel a little bit weird with my greeting today. Yassou is actually Greek word for "hello". The reason why I use this word instead of my normal "sawasdee ka" in this post is because I just went to Greece for almost a week and just came back on last Friday. So today post will be about what did I do there and a little bit of OOTDs.

You might be surprise if I tell you the reason that I go to Heraklion (Greece) this time is not for holiday, but I actually go for some scientific conference. And I'm lucky enough to go there without paying anything. The budget from the conference committee is cover the full meeting costs, accommodation and the travel costs!! It's a really great time to get away from rain in UK and say hello to sunshine and tan line (I manage to get 2 shades darker skin after sun bathing yayyyyy). I went there for 5 days and 4 nights and need to say thank you my supervisor to give me a chance to attend this conference. Although I have to go there by myself but at the end I met lots of great people.

Right that's enough blabbing from me and let's move on to my choice of clothes. Because I know that it's hot there and I need to wear something that appropriate enough to attend the conference so most of the clothes that I pack in my suitcase are dresses.

Day one: it was a free day and I chose to wear something comfy. I was wearing an airtex "chase the boys heart" vest - Primark.
Day two: my oral presentation day. I picked the pink dress from Topshop. This dress actually caught lots of attention during my talk.
Day three: a floral maxi dress (bought this dress a year ago so the link shows a similar dress) - New look
Day four: I didn't have a chance to take a photo of my clothes but I was wearing a strapless bodycon dress from Topshop.
Last day: it was another free day before I went back to UK later that afternoon. I wore a mint ribbed cropped vest from Topshop and white hot pants from Primark.
For more info about hotel. In case someone is interested. The location of the conference is held in Knossos beach hotel (last picture) but due to the limited number of rooms available I'd been accommodated to the nearest one which is about 3 minutes walk from Knossos beach hotel. It takes about 10 minute drive from airport or about 20 minutes by bus. Name of the hotel that I stayed is "Aquis Arina Sand". My room has a big balcony which has a beautiful view, twin beds, bath and big wardrobe. All meals are inclusive from 7 am till 11pm so basically you can eat and drink all day without paying anything. Impressive!!

Do you have any plan for this summer holiday?
Mwahhh
